BREAKFAST CASSEROLE 
1 lb. sausage
8 eggs, beaten
5 slices stale bread
2 1/2 c. milk
1 c. grated sharp cheese

Cook sausage; drain and spread in 9x13 inch glass pan. Cube bread and spread evenly on top of sausage. Combine eggs and milk and pour on top. Top casserole with cheese. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees until knife inserted in center comes out clean. This puffs up nicely when done. (You can prepare also, the night before and refrigerate overnight -- then bake in the morning.) OR Cook in microwave, covered on Level 8, for 12 to 14 minutes, or until knife inserted comes out clean.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
