FRENCH APPLE PIE 
4-5 lg. apples
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. cream
1 block butter

Sprinkle 1/2 of mixture of sugar, salt and flour on bottom crust. Add apples, peeled and sliced. Sprinkle remaining flour, sugar and salt on apples. Add cream. Add pats of butter on apples. Put pastry strips over the top. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes; 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
