3 c. shortening, half and half (butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
6 c. flour

Roll into balls and press with fork. Bake in moderate oven about 350 degrees until golden brown.
