DAD'S MARINADE AND BASTING SAUCE 
1/4 c. salad oil
1/2 c. dry red or white wine
1 grated garlic clove
1 tsp. grated onion
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Mix ingredients together well, then chill for several hours to blend flavors, before using. Let meat stand overnight in mixture.

Fifteen minutes before removing brush half with a basting sauce of 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard, 1/8 teaspoon cloves and 1 tablespoon water. Bake (if broiling use less time) 10 minutes, then brush with rest of the basting sauce. Finish cooking.
