BANANA BREAD 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
4 eggs (may use egg beaters)
6 lg. bananas, mashed
2 1/2 c. flour
2 scant tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
3/4 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Cream Crisco and sugar together, add eggs and beat well. Mash bananas and add to mixture. Sift flour. Measure it and put it in a separate bowl. Add other dry ingredients to flour and sift again. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture. Fold in nuts (sometimes I add 1/2 cup of raisins for variety). Bake in well greased pans at 325 degrees for one hour. This freezes well. Makes 6 small or 2 large loaves.
