ONION PATTIES 
3/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cornmeal
1/2 c. powdered milk
1/4 c. cold water (may need more or less)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 1/2 c. chopped onions

Mix dry ingredients. Add egg and small amount of water. Batter should be thick. Mix in onions. Drop by teaspoonful into hot oil. Makes about 20 (2 inch) patties. Good as onion rings, but easier.
