PECAN PIE 
Homemade pie crust, or frozen will do

PIE FILLING:

3 lg. eggs
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. bourbon, rum or brandy
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 c. shelled pecans

In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and blend in sugar. Work in the syrup, vanilla, bourbon, salt and melted butter. Add pecans and pour mixture into the pie crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 30 more minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is browned. Let cool to room temperature.
