CHOCOLATE CHIP POUND CAKE 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
5 egg yolks
1/2 c. mini chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 inch). With electric mixer on low, beat all ingredients except chips and nuts, scraping bowl constantly for 30 seconds. Raise speed and mix for 2 minutes, scraping occasionally. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into pan. Bake 65-70 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan.
