1 2/3 c. unbleached flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, brown sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt with fork in ungreased square 8x8x2 inch pan. Mix in remaining ingredients. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 to 40 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
