BEAN SOUP 
2 c. great navy beans
12 c. water
meaty ham bone
1 c. chopped onion
Sm. bay leaf
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. celery
1 c. mashed potatoes
1/2 c. heavy cream

Soak beans in water overnight. Add bone, onion and bay leaf, bring to boil and simmer 2 hours, then add carrots, potatoes, celery, seasoning salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 1 hour then debone ham; add cream just before serving.
