CHERRY CHEESE DESSERT 
CRUST:

1 c. all-purpose flour
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans

Melt butter and stir in flour, add nuts. Press into 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake in 350 degree oven about 25 minutes and cool well.

FILLING:

8 oz. Cool Whip
8 oz. cream cheese
Powdered sugar

Soften cream cheese; blend in Cool Whip, sweeten to suit taste with the powdered sugar. Spread over crust. Top with 21 ounce can of cherry pie filling. Chill and serve.

VARIATIONS:

Banana : Slice bananas onto cream cheese mixture. Top with 1 small package of Jello instant vanilla pudding that has been made according to directions on package. Chill and serve.

Strawberry: Slice fresh strawberries onto cream cheese mixture. Top with glaze that has been made as directed: 1 c. sugar 1 c. hot water 4 tbsp. strawberry Jello

Combine cornstarch, sugar and Jello. Gradually add hot water. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and clear. Cool slightly then pour over strawberries. Chill and serve.
