ORIENTAL SALAD 
1 head Chinese (Napa) cabbage, chopped
4-5 green onions, sliced
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
2 pkgs. Ramen noodles (chicken flavor)
1 pkg. slivered almonds
2 tbsp. sesame seeds

Break up the noodles. Brown noodles, almonds, and sesame seeds in 1/4 cup butter. (Easy to get too brown, so watch closely.) Use less butter if you want. Mix flavor packet (soup base) in with this mixture after browning.

DRESSING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce

Shake well. Just before serving, mix all of the ingredients together. Serves 12.
