SIMPLE MEAT LOAF 
1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 c. milk
2 lb. ground beef
2 eggs, beaten lightly
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sage, optional
Ketchup
1 c. beef stock or 1 c. bouillon

Soak crumbs in milk. Combine with other ingredients except stock or bouillon and ketchup. Lightly grease 2 loaf pan and spread a layer of ketchup; put 1/2 of meat loaf in each pan. Bake at 325 degrees basting with drippings and stock or bouillon for 1 hour. After 40 minutes, cover with mixture of 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard.
