ORIENTAL SKILLET 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can chop suey vegetables, drained
1 c. frozen peas
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. soy sauce
Chow mein noodles

In large skillet, cook ground beef and onion until meat is lightly browned. Add chop suey vegetables, peas, green pepper and water. Simmer covered for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Blend together cornstarch (or flour), sugar and ginger; gradually stir in soy sauce. Add to beef mixture; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Serve with chow mein noodles. Makes 4 to 5 servings.
