VATTES FAMILY HOT POTATO SALAD
(WARMER KARTOFFELSALAT)
 
6 lg. potatoes
1/4 lb. uncooked chopped bacon
1 c. chopped onions
2 c. water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Boil potatoes then refrigerate until cool. Peel (if you wish) and slice. Chop bacon and onion fine and brown in skillet until bacon is crisp. Do not drain. Mix cornstarch with water add to bacon drippings, stir until mixture thickens. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for several minutes. Serve warm.
