SWISS CHEESE BREAD
1 long loaf of French bread
3/4 lb. Swiss cheese slices
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, or fresh
1 c. butter, melted
2 tbsp. dry minced onion
1 tbsp. poppy seed
1 tsp. season salt
1 tbsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Slice bread lengthwise twice, forming three sections (do not slice all the way through). Slice cheese in strips and stuff in bread between sections. Slice mushrooms and place next to cheese, filling entire lengthwise cuts. Make sauce by combining butter, onion, poppy seed, salt, mustard, and lemon juice. Pour sauce over top of bread. Seal in aluminum foil (bread should be placed on foil before sauce is poured on top). Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Remove bread from foil and slice across loaf into individual servings. Makes 18 to 24 slices.
