GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
1 c. salad oil 3 eggs 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. flour 1 c. nuts 4 c. fresh apples, chopped Cream first four ingredients together. Sift together the next four ingredients. Gradually add dry ingredients to the creamed ingredients. Fold in apple and nuts. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees in a greased and floured 8 x 13 inch pan. ICING: 3 oz. cream cheese 1 1/2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. confectioners' sugar Put on warm cake as soon as it comes from the oven. |
