FUN CARAMEL CORN 
3 qt. popped corn
1 1/2 c. peanuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Place popped corn and peanuts in a large brown paper bag. Set aside.

Place brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in 2 quart glass bowl. Microwave high (100% power) 3 or 4 minutes, stir after each minute, until mixture comes to boil. Then microwave 2 minutes more. Stir in baking soda.

Pour cooked syrup mixture very carefully over bagged popped corn and peanuts. Close bag and shake carefully and well. Microwave bagged mixture 1 1/2 minutes more. Shake bag into a large cookie sheet or roasting pan. Cool and stir to separate pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
