STRAWBERRY NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. strawberries, mashed
4 c.flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sour milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs one at a time, beating well each time. Add strawberries. Sift together dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk, mix well. Add vanilla. Stir in walnuts. Pour into well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool on racks. Makes 2 large or 3 small nut breads.
