RAISIN CRISPS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. raisins
1 egg

Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg; beat well. Grind or chop raisins. Add to creamed mixture, add sifted ingredients. Shape into balls; flatten with bottom of glass. Bake 8 minutes at 400 degrees.
