FRUIT PIE (GRANDMA'S EASY FRUIT
COBBLER)
 
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 stick melted butter
2/3 c. milk

Melt butter, mix with other ingredients, spread in 9 x 9 inch baking dish. Add one can of your choice of fruit on top. Cook 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. (I double batter for long 9 x 12 inch cake pan and use 2 cans of fruit). Canned cherries, canned sand plums, canned pineapple, etc. Use your imagination. The dough rises to the top as it baked and makes a crispy crust.

You have to use self rising flour or add 1 tsp baking powder or it won't rise and will be a mess.
