CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIES
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. milk chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. (I put butter on a 15 x 10 x 1 pan and heat until it starts to melt. This greases the pan. Don't leave too much butter in the pan or brownies will be greasy.) In large bowl, combine sugars and butter and vanilla; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in 15 x 10 x 1 pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Do not overbake or brownie will be dry. Makes 35 2-inch squares.

This is my family's favorite cookie. Even our neighborhood friends let us know it's their favorite also. One pan will last maybe 2 days, depending on the amount of company.
