HOT DOG STEW | |
1 lb. hot dogs (your favorite) 1 onion, sliced 1 green pepper, sliced 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes (Hunts) 2 tbsp. olive oil Slice hot dogs into bite-sized pieces and sauté in oil. When they are browned take out and put aside. Place sliced peppers and onions in the same pan with the remaining oil. When peppers and onions are soft add the hot dogs back to the pan, pour can of crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes until all flavors are melded together. Serve over white rice or on a hot dog roll. Note: Can be kept in a Crock-Pot on LOW for family gatherings. Submitted by: Debbie Trexler |
