DEVIL'S FOOD CUPCAKES 
1 c. sugar
2 sqs. chocolate
1 c. flour
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Butter size of walnut

Cream butter and sugar, add egg (well beaten). Add melted chocolate. Add soda to buttermilk and mix alternately with flour. Add vanilla. Bake at 350-400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Scoop out top of cupcake and fill with whipped cream or frost with uncooked icing.

UNCOOKED ICING:

1 stick butter
2 sqs. chocolate, melted
3 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. boiling coffee
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

(Recipe may be cut in half).
