ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
Cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour and other dry ingredients. Heat liquids until warm (120- 130 degrees); add to dry mixture. Beat well; stir in more flour to make a stiff batter.

Spoon into 2 (8 x 4) pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Sprinkle top with cornmeal; cover. Let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans and cool.
