TOMATO CHEESE STRATA 
1 loaf hard French bread, sliced

SAUTE:

1/2 c. butter
1 lg. pepper
1 med. onion
2 tbsp. oregano
2 tbsp. sugar
6 lg. tomatoes
1 lb. Mozzarella

Layer bread in pan. Pour half of pepper/onion mix on bread. Alternate layers of tomato (thickly sliced) and grated cheese. Top with remaining pepper/onion. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
