THREE LETTUCE SALAD | |
2 tbsp. olive oil 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 1-2 cloves garlic, minced 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 bunch Romaine lettuce, torn (about 4 c.) 1/2 lg. bunch butter lettuce, torn (about 3 c.) 1/2 bunch leaf lettuce, torn (about 3 c.) 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange sections, drained 1 c. seedless red grapes, halved 1/3 c. toasted slivered almonds In a screw top jar combine olive oil, vinegar, garlic and salt. Cover, shake until well blended. Chill until serving time. In a large salad bowl combine the lettuce, orange sections, grapes and almonds. To serve, pour dressing atop salad and toss to coat. Makes 6 servings. |
