SCALLOPED POTATOES 
1 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
1 c. sour cream
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 c. chopped onion (I always use lots more)
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
1 stick melted butter

Mix together. Top with 1 cup crushed corn flakes mixed with more melted butter or dot with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.

NOTE: I also add some powdered Romanoff and Alfredo cheeses and put American cheese slices on top before baking.
