SOUTHERN BBQ MEATBALLS
These are always a hit at parties and family get-togethers. They are bite sized enough to be an appetizer, yet yummy and filling enough to be a main course with some potatoes or other veggies!

MEATBALLS:

1 1/2 lb. ground beef (2 lb. for large family)
1 cup plain oatmeal
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
1/2 yellow or red onion, finely chopped

HOMEMADE BBQ SAUCE:

2 cups ketchup (Hunts)
6 tbsp. white vinegar
6 tbsp. granulated sugar
5 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
5 tbsp. chopped onion (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce and onion in a small mixing bowl. Place this homemade BBQ sauce in refrigerator while the meatballs cook.

Take the first four ingredients (meat, oatmeal, milk and onion) and mix together in a medium to large sized bowl. Using your hands separate and roll into small meatballs. Place them in a 9x11-inch pan in rows.

Place meatballs in oven and cook at 350°F for 40 minutes. After time has elapsed pull out and drain any extra grease floating in pan. Take the homemade BBQ sauce and pour over top. Place back in the oven (important!) for 10 to 15 minutes more.

Voila! They come out ready to eat. Can also be made in Crock-Pot.
