GRANDMA'S BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. milk (not quite)
3/4 tsp. sugar

Sift flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Cut shortening in with pastry blender. Make depression in center and add milk. Stir as quickly as possible with a spoon. Dough will be like a ball. Flour hands and board. Knead dough a few times and roll out and cut biscuits with cutter. Be careful not to knead dough too much as it may become tough. Bake 12 minutes at 450 degrees.
