MEEMIE'S HAND LOTION | |
2 (4 oz.) bottles witch hazel 8 oz. Bay Rum 2 rounded tbsp. quince seeds Steeped in 3 cups water and cooled. Strain through old stocking, 8 ounces of glycerine. Any scent you desire. I use oils from drug store, old perfume. Mix together. This is a lovely lotion, it feels a little "tacky" on your hands, then is absorbed "like magic". It is great in a bath - 1 ounce per tubful. I tripple this recipe, it's hard to get quince seeds. I found quince in September in Belleville at the Wednesday market. Store in old bottles which have been washed and sterilized. (Yard sale items to have ready.) |
