CARAMEL POPCORN 
2 c. sugar (1 brown, 1 white)
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of cream of tartar
Dash of salt
8 qts. popped corn

Bring first three ingredients to a boil slowly and boil 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients except the popcorn. Pour the mixture over the popcorn and stir easy until well coated. Place in a large roaster and bake for 1 hour at 200 degrees in the oven. This amount covers 8 quarts of popcorn. As soon as you take it from the oven, when cool enough, separate.
