1 lb. Box of macaroni (cooked). Add 1 stick of butter, while hot. White Cheddar cheese sliced, thin. Ritz or regular (crushed) or cracker crumbs regular or Italian. Salt and pepper, canned milk (preferred) but can use regular.
Layer in 2 small (1 1/2 qt.) or 1 large (3 or 4 qt.) greased casserole dish. Macaroni, Cheddar cheese slices, sprinkle with salt, pepper, cracker crumbs, repeat. Ending with crumbs. Leave 1/2 in or so at top as the milk will boil up while cooking. Add canned milk until you can see it by tipping the dish a little. To be safe, place cookie sheet under casserole while cooking as this recipe has a tendency to boil over. Cook in oven at 350 degrees for one hour, keep checking until browned on top.
