BAKED PEPPERED BEANS | |
1 lb. bulk pork sausage 1 c. chopped onions 4 cans pinto beans, do not drain 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies 2 tbsp. cumin seed 1 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped tomatoes 1/2 c. green onions, sliced 1/2 c. cheddar cheese Brown sausage in a skillet. Add onions and saute until soft. Drain off excess grease. Add beans, chilies, cumin seed, Accent and salt and place in a casserole dish. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees, uncovered. Spread tomatoes, green onions and cheddar cheese on top. Put back in the oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Yield: 8 servings. |
