DUTCH APPLE RICE | |
RICE MIXTURE: 3 c. hot, cooked rice 1 (16 oz.) can applesauce 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 c. raisins 2 tbsp. butter CRUMB MIXTURE: 1 c. graham cracker crumbs 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. chopped pecans 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. butter Combine rice mixture ingredients. In a separate bowl, combine crumb mixture. In a buttered 3-quart dish, sprinkle 3/4 cup of crumb mixture. Pour all the rice mixture in. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream. Makes 8 (3/4 cup) servings. |
