DUTCH APPLE CAKE 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. brown powder
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c., diced & peeled apples
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

TOPPING:

3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix butter, sugar, eggs and buttermilk together. Sift dry ingredients. Mix all together well. Mix apples into batter. Pour into 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle with Topping and bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
