DUTCH APPLE CAKES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 egg
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Break egg in measuring cup. Add 1/4 cup melted butter; fill cup with milk. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat. Put batter into cupcake tins. Stick slices of apple in the top and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

These stay moist for several days.
