3 loaves frozen bread or homemade Roll out dough on floured board 1/2" thick. FILLING: 1 1/3 c. whole milk or cream 2 sticks butter 2 pinches salt 4 c. sugar Cook until it boils. Add 2 cups of nuts, English walnuts, walnuts or pecans. Cool. Be sure it is cool. Then add 6 beaten eggs into mixture. Spread mixture on top of rolled out bread and then roll up like a jelly roll. Over top paint with egg gives golden color. I use toothpicks to hold rolls together. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in greased bread pans. |
