TERIYAKI SAUCE 
1/2 tsp. garlic powder or salt
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. cooking oil
2 tbsp. water
1/4 c. soy sauce

For beef: Place beef in sauce, refrigerate 4 to 6 hours. Can be whole steak or 1/4 wide strips. Cook on grill for best results.

For chicken: Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice to sauce. Place chicken in sauce, refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.
