MAINE COFFEE CAKE 
1 1/2 stick butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 c. regular flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 pt. sour cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, beaten

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add sour cream, then dry ingredients, then vanilla. Pour 1/2 batter into greased pan, 9 x 13-inch.

Topping:

1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon or a little more
1/4 c. brown sugar or a little more

Sprinkle 1/2 of topping on first half that is already in pan. Pour rest of batter on this. Sprinkle with rest of topping.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
