SOUTHERN PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
1 c. corn syrup (light or dark)
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. chunky peanut butter
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
Whipped topping, if desired

Mix ingredients. Pour into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce to 350 degrees and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer. Filling will appear slightly less set in center. Chill. Top with whipped topping (if desired) to serve.
