DIANE'S OATMEAL RAISIN NUT
COOKIES
 
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, unbeaten
6 tbsp. 7-UP or milk
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1/2 c. peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
2 or 1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Into large bowl, sift flour with sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add shortening, eggs and 7-UP as milk, beating until blended smooth. Stir in peanut butter, raisins, oatmeal and nuts. Drop from spoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake until done for 12-15 minutes.
