CRANBERRY-ORANGE BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. orange rind plus orange juice to make 3/4 c.
1 egg, beaten
1 c. raw cranberries, cut in halves

(Or rind of orange, juice, water to make 3/4 cup).

Sift flour, baking powder, sugar. Mix in 2 tablespoons shortening, 1 tablespoon orange rind plus orange juice to make 3/4 cup, 1 egg beaten. Fold in raw cranberries. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Recipe may be doubled.
