SUMMER SAUSAGE 
1 lb. hamburger
1 tsp. Morton tender-quick salt
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. coarse ground pepper
Liquid smoke
Hamburger seasoning
Chili powder

Mix together, cover and refrigerate. Re-mix once a day for 3 days. On fourth day, shape in rolls on waxed paper. Remove from waxed paper and place on broiler pan and bake for 8 hours at 150 degrees. Cool. Refrigerate or freeze. (Leave space between rolls on pan when baking.) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder may be added if desired.
