SEA FOAM SALAD | |
1 no. 2 1/2 can pears, drained and mashed 1 pkg. lime Jello 6 oz. cream cheese (two 3 oz. pkgs.) 2 tbsp. cream (see below) 1 c. heavy cream (minus 2 tbsp.) whipped Drain juice from pears. Heat 1 cup pear juice to boiling point. Pour over Jello, stir until dissolved, cool. Mix cheese and the 2 tablespoons of cream until smooth. Add Jello mixture and beat with electric beater until blended. Chill until partly thickened. Fold in well drained, MASHED pears and whipped cream. Pour into any shaped mold which has been chilled. Unmold on any fancy plate. Will chill in a few hours. You can use any flavor Jello, I use regular whipped cream (as "Cool Whip" is too thin). |
