3 lb. round steak
1/3 c. flour
3 tbsp. shortening
1 env. dry onion soup mix
1 can mushroom soup mixed with 1/2 c. water

Sprinkle meat with flour. Brown in oil about 15 minutes. Cook over medium heat. Sprinkle onion mix over meat. Mix water and soup mix and pour over meat. Cover tightly. Simmer about 2 hours or put in crock pot until tender. Place meat on platter and heat gravy mix until thickened. Pour over steak.
