SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. corn syrup, dark
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
9-inch unbaked pie shell

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, syrup, vanilla and chopped pecans; mix. Turn into pie shell. Now arrange the pecan halves on top of filling. (I use just a few for decoration.) Place on lower oven rack and bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.
