SAUERKRAUT AND TOMATOES
CASSEROLE
 
2 c. sauerkraut, drained
2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
2 c. canned tomatoes
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. Thousand Island dressing

Dry rye bread cubes with caraway. Place sauerkraut in a buttered casserole and top with cheese and dressing. Pour tomatoes over this. Dot with 3 tablespoons butter. Saute rye bread cubes in 1/4 cup butter and sprinkle over the top. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
