SAVORY PEPPER STEAK (WEST) | |
1/4 c. flour Salt and pepper to taste 2 lb. round steak, cut in strips 1/4 c. bacon fat 1/2 c. onion 1 large clove garlic, minced 1 c. drained chopped fresh or canned tomatoes 1-1 1/2 c. water 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 large green peppers, cut in strips Combine flour, salt and pepper and toss meat in mixture. Heat fat over high heat. Cook beef about four minutes or until browned. Reduce heat and add remaining ingredients. Simmer 45-60 minutes or until meat is tender. Serve with steamed rice. |
