PASTA WITH LOW-CAL CREAM SAUCE 
1 lb. linguine, cooked according to pkg. directions
1 can low-fat chicken broth
3 tbsp. cream cheese (reduced fat)
1 tbsp. cornstarch to thicken

Optional Add:

3 to 4 slices deli ham, julienne sliced
1/2 pkg. sliced mushrooms
1/2 c. cooked peas
grated Parmesan cheese

Put chicken broth in saucepan and add cream cheese. Whisk until blended and slightly creamy. Separately, mix cornstarch with a couple tablespoons of water and mix until there are no lumps. Slowly add to sauce while mixing. Cook over low heat until thickened. Add any optional extras now to heat. Drizzle over cooked pasta and serve immediately.
